Nick
Nick is one of our budtenders and delivery drives. He is big . Nick enjoys photography as a hobby and is an avid gamer.
Custodio
Custodio, or Stodi for short, is our resident connoisseur and jack of all trades. Stodi hails from Santa Barbara, where he was born and raised. Like many of our staff members, Stodi was involved in cannabis during the prop 215 days, doing flameworking and soilless indoor grows for several years while working in the restaurant industry in Solvang. Stodi is very passionate about the medicinal and educational aspects of cannabis. He prides himself in his knowledge of the finer things in cannabis, such as terpenes, cannabinoids, and extraction methods. Stodi also studies biology and hopes to one day work in radiology to aid cancer patients. Outside of work, Stodi pursues several other creative activities, such as mural painting, screenprinting, and cannabis product reviews. You can find more of his work and get to know Stodi a little better via his Instagram page @stodicannabisStodi is big on terpenes, so naturally, his favorite products include CRU Littles Flaves, which are terpene- and kief-infused, and strains like Monterey Kush Co’s Tropical Cookies or Pacific Stone’s Forbidden Fruit.

Adrian
Like a few other of our team members, Adrian hails from Los Alamos where he was born and raised. Adrian is also our resident foodie at The Roots Dispensary, having nearly a decade of work experience in kitchens and restaurants in Los Alamos and Santa Ynez. He is constantly bringing our team fresh cooked, artisanal meals to keep us fed and motivated.

Javier
Javier is one of our budtenders and director of public relations and outreach at The Roots Dispensary. He recently graduated from UC Irvine, where he studied political science and sociology. Javier has had a long fascination with cannabis and got a job at a dispensary in the Orange County after graduating. He has plans to return to school in the near future to obtain his master's or his juris doctorate (law degree) and continue his work in cannabis policy. Javier has worked with The Roots since our inception and has continued his education in cannabis. He recently obtained several certifications from the Americans for Safe Access, one of the nation's On his free time, he enjoys the finer things in life, like graphic design, road biking, and spending time with his friends and family. He enjoys all methods of consumption, but has an affinity towards flower and solventless hash rosin. Sativas are a go-to for him while he was in college as it helped him be creative while writing essays and working on projects, but he enjoys winding down with a nice indica after work.
Chantal
Chantal is our lovely receptionist. She is usually the first person that our customers see when they walk in through the door and her positive attitude will make you feel right at home, even if it’s your first visit. Outside of the Roots, Chantal is a prolific freelance makeup artist with over ten years of experience under her belt. She primarily specializes in doing makeup for special events and occasions like weddings and senior portraits. Chantal is also an avid workout enthusiast and when she is not at the Roots, doing makeup, or raising her two bright young boys, you can catch her pumping some iron and getting her reps in.
Topher
Topher is a veteran of the US Marines, where he served with distinction. After his stint in the military, Topher returned to his hometown of Lompoc to work at the federal prison. 5”4 with heart of a lion Topher is a Renaissance man at the Roots, involving himself in nearly every aspect of operations from inventory control, marketing & promotion, budtending, and delivery.
